PAWS ON PLATES – BROCHURE COPYWRITING CASE STUDY
Introductory brochure for new clients of UK dog food brand

An action-packed three-day sprint. After developing a brief with founder Sam Adams,

I set about creating a 12-page flatplan for a brochure that this up-and-coming fresh dog food company could send out with deliveries.
​
Once the flatpan was tweaked and approved, Sam helped with insight that would help me write the copy. Next, I got to work, aiming for a fun, upbeat tone that mirrored the existing language on the fledgling brand's website. The copy was a mixture of playful and educational, and for a couple of potentially "fiddly" pages, I supplied rough designs for Sam to show to his designer.

These gave her a starting point and, ultimately, saved time. Sam loved the copy and required only three small edits. A hugely enjoyable project!

In brief
12-page customer brochure for new customers of fresh dog food brand Paws On Plates. Copy was designed to entertain, inform and build brand loyalty.
Challenges
Blending 'fun' with 'useful'. It's easy to get lost in your own world when creating lively content, but economy of words was critical and everything had to come back to added value for Sam's customers.
The result
The brochure is currently being printed, ready for its first round of orders. Several elements on the page encouraged interaction, so it will be interesting to see how these play out!
